The new 'all-rounder' midsize pickup '2020 Nissan Frontier' has been introduced with some new updates. Even though the truck looks quite similar to its old models, Nissan definitely made some major changes in the new Frontier. Let's find out more about the new 2020 Nissan Frontier.

Design

Nissan Frontier is known for its rugged design and the new update will carry on this tradition. The front-end headlights are styled to modern, and the truck comes in extended and crew cabs options. The new front grille, color, side fenders, four-hinged doors merge the Pro-4X vehicle into a monochrome look for sure.

Interior and Comfort

We don't find many updated features when it comes to interior design with the new Frontier. It comes with an old narrow cabin interior design, a standard 5-inch display screen, and has larger knobs as well. The front seats are of cloth where they can be upgraded to leather seats. Although it will be challenging to drive off-roader but is a great value for workers.

Engine, Power, and Performance

While the new Frontier is quite similar to the last model in design, features, and looks—there are major changes in engine, power, and performance.

One thing that we applaud for the 2020 Frontier is the engine. The engine is quite calm when you press the push start button.

The 3.8-liter V6 engine generates 310 horsepower to its four wheels and the turning power or the torque put at 281 pound-feet.

Another major change that we see in the pick-up is its 9-speed automatic transmission system that surely replaces its old variants with 5-speed automatic transmission.

The King Cab model introduces both Rear-Wheel-Drive and All-Wheel-Drive configuration systems on the S and SV models that keep the vehicle’s body controlled and allows the rides to run smoothly. The steering is good so far and the suspension bears the big bumps well.

Release Date

According to various sources, the release date for the new 2020 Nissan Frontier pickup is not yet confirmed as the director, Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, and Nissan North America, Mr. Tiago Castro says,

"The 2020 Frontier lays the groundwork for the exciting, next-generation Frontier – an all-new pickup truck slated to arrive soon,"

Pricing

Nissan hasn't announced pricing for the 2020 Frontier either. It will be slightly up over the previous 2019 model. The 2019 Nissan Frontier starts at $19,290.
